Privacy Policy

Privacy first: Garage Story is built so we never see your garage. There are no Studio AM accounts, no analytics, and no ads. Your vehicles, service history, and photos stay on your device unless you choose the app's private iCloud backup or export/share them yourself.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Personal information

Garage Story requires no Studio AM account, name, or email. You can use the core garage without signing in. If you use Pro purchasing, RevenueCat assigns an anonymous app-user identifier for entitlement and receipt processing.

1.2 Your garage

Everything you add (vehicles and RVs, service, fuel and repair logs, costs, reminders, photos, and receipts) is stored locally on your device. Optional backups copy those records and photo bytes to the app's private iCloud container in your Apple account. Studio AM cannot access that container. The app also creates app-managed export files when you ask to export, preview, or share.

1.3 Analytics

We collect no analytics or usage data. Garage Story contains no third-party analytics SDKs, tracking, or telemetry. There is no advertising.

2. Network use

Garage records remain usable offline. The app can make the following network requests; service providers receive ordinary connection metadata such as an IP address in addition to the fields described here:

• Studio AM's public website and GitHub Pages host provide schedule manifests, schedule/model-insight files, and the optional “More from Studio AM” list. That list can load app icons from Apple-hosted URLs. Those requests do not include your garage records, photos, or VIN.
• NHTSA recall checks send year, make, and model. The Add Vehicle VIN decoder sends the full 17-character VIN only after you tap “Decode VIN with NHTSA.”
• Expo's update service can check for and download compatible app-code updates. Garage records are not included in update requests.
• Apple handles App Store purchases and private iCloud backup. RevenueCat validates the optional Pro entitlement as described below.

3. Purchases

Garage Story Pro is processed by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. We use RevenueCat to manage entitlements; it receives only an anonymous, app-generated identifier, product and entitlement state, Apple receipt or transaction information, and limited app/device metadata needed to provide and restore the entitlement. Studio AM does not receive your payment-card details. Apple and RevenueCat process data under their own privacy policies.

4. Children's privacy

Garage Story is not directed at collecting information from children. It has no account, advertising, or behavioral tracking. The limited provider traffic described above applies regardless of the user's age.

5. Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices ever change, this page will be updated and the effective date revised before the change ships.
